What I really hate: Nothing

Simply sensational.... Makes you wanna fall in love. Loved the warm and fuzzy feeling I had after watching the movie.

"Sepi" is another one of Khabir Batia's brainchild that spins three stories with the same theme in common, loneliness. It is a film about the story of a chef named Adam (Afdlin Shauki) stuck in the singledom trying to find a wife, a shoe factory owner, Sufi (Tony Eusoff) who runs to recover from the loss of his wife due to an unexpected car crash, and there's Imaan (Baizura Kahar), a college girl and script writer for the theater who carries a strong memory of her past that should be left behind.

The first thing you'll find amazing in this film is the dramatic camera angles that make you feel that you're actually in the movie! Khabir did a really good job with the camera and because of this, he makes everything in this movie appear more real. It is not the usual in-your-face camera shot, and we all have to admit that this comes from the director's renowned talent.

Having his own wife writing the script for this movie (and you know what happens when two great minds come together), it shows that the story is strong on its own, and such simple lines (if meaningful) can linger in your head for a very long time. There's no slow, dragging conversations that can leave the audience feeling exhausted in their seats. This film does not, in any way, contain the typical dialogue you usually experience in other Malay movies.

The cast? They are outstanding! You're probably familiar with Afdlin's loveable nature, and in this movie, you'll get the opportunity to see Nasha Aziz being zany and creepy and that helps to make the audience chuckle here and there. The cast really did a good job and the effort really shows throughout the entire film.

The feeling you'll get once you step out of the theatre is that you'll feel that its worth every penny and nanosecond you spent sitting in the comfortable seats of the cinema hall. You'll love the story line, the cast, the dreamy scenery, the soundtrack and you'll definitely love the director for doing such a good job that you will want to get out of the cinema and give him a pat in the back for making "Sepi" one of the best Malay movies ever, and most probably the best Malay movie of the year.

Well....just wish that it could be better.... stress-out Wednesday, January 7, 2009 (10:37 PM) SO MANY THING TO DO.....MY HEAD ARE EXPLODING!!....PROJECTS AFTER PROJECTS AND NO TIME FOR SOCIAL...IF THERE IS ANY, I WOULD BE LEFT BEHIND AND MY LIFE WILL BE CHAOTIC! New Year Thursday, January 1, 2009 (10:25 PM) Projects are pilling up and due dates are getting closer. New year is a good celebration for me or in fact for all my poly mates. Had a lot of burden to carry and i bearly can cope each and everyone of it. I just hope someone will just lift them up for me for a few seconds for me to inhale some air into my mind. As always ryan and me went to cali's place for celebration or shoud i double quote it. "CELEBRATION" instead. Thats because we went there to do our project. We wanted to celebrate too but its just not complete if you are alone at home. We reached cali's place at around 8.30pm. Cali helped me out with flash while ryan think of a nice slogan for my project. At about 11.55pm, ryan and me stopped our project work and went to watch the telecast of countdown. We "Yam-Seng" 3 times and i really can't take it...out of breath...HEN LEH LIOL-that is the word that the 3 of them kept saying the entire night...hahaha Oh ya...cali's friends were there too to countdown with us...they even bought a NON-ALCOHOLIC champagne to toss...thats where the "Yam-Seng" part come along After counting down, ryan and me went to continue with our project. What a celebration for us...sigh~ We then MAHJONG till 2.00am+++ and i only won once...what a game!...not a good start of 2009 Cali mum treated us macdonald and we decide to dine-in instead because the delivery will take such a long time. We drag ourselves and cali lead the way. That is because she is hungry..hahaha Cert seem high in the year 2009 and i really think she's drunk...she is less fierce compared to in the year 2008. My new year's resolution for her: Be kind and don't anyhow scold people!..haha..joking...i think being fierce is her trademark! We then walked back to cali's house and sleep!...I was the last one to wake up. Wash up, tee-vee and went off. Do i sound different compared to my previous post? I think because i'm getting older and wiser now...20years old this year...no more teenage life for me...but i wanna be young...let's not let the number judge you. Let be carefree like sanitary pad!...LOL....i'm sleepy and thats why i'm talking crap. Okay...New Year's resolution...ermmm..didnt think of any yet...maybe i wanna be loved?..haha...but i'm sure 2009 is gonna be a hectic year. Let's keep the peace and harmony!
