Woke up at 5.30am and get ready for one hell of a trip. Packed somemore stuff before departing. Had to double confirm because i also forget something. My sis actually hire a van to drive us to Senai Airport where we will be taking our flight.

Why Senai and not Changi Airport? Well, the initial plan was to fetch my brother who is in johore. But he couldn't make it at the very last minute after we have already book our flight to take off from Johore(Senai Airport)

The van drove off extremely fast that we got scared. We are not in a rush and he is driving like a F1 racer.

We reached Senai Airport at abt 9.15am and we are early for our flight. The funny thing is that we actually took the wrong flight. We are suppose to go to Pulau Pinang but instead we took the Kuala Lumpur. The steward didnt check our boarding pass and we were actually in the plane already. Suddenly they announced one of our name and and request us to alight as the plane is travelling to KL instead. It was super embarrassing. Its actually okie to take the wrong bus but not the wrong flight!!..We laughed our way out and act as if nothing happened. We actually know our flight timing but i just don't get it why we boarded the flight.

After a long horrible wait, we eventually board our "CORRECT-ED" flight and we are 23 mins before time...which is abt 45 mins flight.

One of our relatives fetches us from Pulau Pinang International Airport and we went straight to the house instead of checking-in the hotel first. We had a talk and i really misses them. It has been like more than 15 years since i been there and all of them are all grown up now.

One "good" thing happen to me. My bro in law and me went to the money changer. The rate was 2.35 and after my bro exchanged his money, i exchanged mine. The guy give him a rate of 3.25. Thats a lot. I only exchanged S$50 and i got back RM162.50. I didnt realise it until i reached the hotel and we were like discussing our exchanged rate.

We check-in at Bayview Hotel at abt 2pm. Wonder around the hotel and etc. I think Pulau Pinang Bayview Hotel is the nicest compared to other countries Bayview Hotel. We went swimming and outdoor jacuzzi.

And the best thing about Penang is their FOOD!...i admit it...i gained weights while i was in Penang. Had Nasi Kandar for Supper. How heavy is that but i gobble up the food like nobody business.

Wednesday, 10th Dec '08
Ate breakfast as it is a complimentary from the Hotel. The breakfast was all the same throughout my stay. Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai(Prata), and cereals...I ate that everyday...I eat a lot rite?...i love food...who cares.

Went to wonder around at the streets and saw Gedung Mydin. Its totally like Mustafa Centre but a lil smaller. They sell stuff at a low price and the best thing is that they have their own store song in dikir barat style. How unique!

Oh ya btw we called aunt as mami, unlce as mamu and granny as tok.

So we went to my mami's house and she cooked for us lunch. It was A LOT!! and delicious too! Spend so much time in her house for like 4 hours before we headed off to PESTA PULAU PINANG. Its a once a year event and it is like a carnival kind of thing. Ride THE CHALLENGER, Ferris Wheel and Sky Rider. We even went to the haunted house but it was different from the past. In the past it was scary and the route was much more longer.

We had dinner together and i had MEE BANDUNG!!...it totally screwed up...the tasteless food i ever ate in Penang. Was quite dissappointed.

Thurday, 11th Dec '08
Our relatives brought us to the DAM and it was breezy and its chilling me out. After that we went to Batu Feringghi to shop. Its like a "Pasar Malam" and lots of interesting stuff there.

Friday, 12th Dec '08
It is an amazing day. We only met one of our relative while we are in Penang. And my mami loss the contact of the other relatives. I dont know how but my dad were very determined to find the rest of our relatives. Its totally like the amazing race without any competitor. We start off at the hotel and my dad was like discussing to the taxi driver the place. Fortunately, one of the taxi driver lives near the area and he know where my dad wanted to go. It was amazing that the way my dad described the place, the taxi driver managed to know where my dad is referring to. Without any delay, we went off to the place. It was the correct place but the kampung is no longer there. Everything is all flat now. We then asked the people who were slacking at the warung(coffeeshop..more like a hut). After a while talking to them, one of them actually know my Mamu Din. He then talked to the driver and one of them actually followed us to make sure that we are not lost. We found the house but it was it was his second wife and they don't know us at all. She was a complete stranger to us. We then headed to my Mamu Aziz house. We went to his old house but the people living in the house doesn't know him. So we asked the neighbour instead. Luckily she know and direct us to the house. It was soo lucky that we found the house at the right time. My Mamu Aziz was about to went off to Friday Prayers and we joined him. After we had a talked in his house and ate my another Mami's awesome cooking, we went to Mamu Din first wife house. Now that lucky coz Mamu Aziz know the address of most of the relatives. We chatted at Mamu Din's house till late night and catch up a lot of stuff with them.

Saturday,13th Dec '08
Kak Ina and Abang Yon brought is to QueensBay Mall and it is enormous!...didnt buy anything..just window shopping but my sis shop like the world is ending soon. I think it is just girls!...

There are also Doraemon Live in person so call concert. and i had the best view from level two. Its not that i wanted to watched okie....its for my niece!...**excuses**

Before nightfall, we managed to go to Waterfall Park. It is more like a Botanic Garden. Feed the monkey there with chips...lol...its soo scary!...but had feeding them. We so called picnic there for a while near the small waterfall.

Sunday, 14th Dec '08
Went to Stadium where they have a flea market. So many stuff at cheap price!...next time i got to bring more cash to spend!

Drop by at P.Ramlee house and there's so many facts to know abt him...it was really nice to visit a legendary malay actor house.

After that we went to the cemetry where my late Mamu Majid was buried. He died of some cruel incident. He was murdered. Actually here is the story: He was sitting at the coffeeshop drinking coffee when a group of Indians use a parang and attacked him from behind. The Indians got the wrong person. Earlier that day, one of the indian actually had a quarrel over a betting. He threaten to bring his gang and went off. My late Mamu who had a dark complexion then came for coffee and was attacked. The police force there is screwed up. And my Mamu Aziz is angry with the police force so are we.

**I didn't know my Mamu Aziz was a politician. He was the opposition party-PAS. He ran the campaign for the previous two election but retired for this year election**

And spend the whole day slacking in hotel...there's nothing else to do. Penang is a place for sight-seeing and shopping. There's nothing else u can do!!

Monday, 15th Dec '08
One last visit to our relatives and our flight is at 10.30pm. So we got the entire day to chit chat!...There's soO many stuff to talk abt!...It was so funny that their slang is different from us and we are like laughing at each other coz of misunderstanding. Its like they asking A and u answer B...And both will be like blur in the end.

It was sad to say goodbye and i really wish i could be there and stay with them. It was really a sweet escape and i am stress-free.

We hugged, kiss but luckily no one broke into tears...coz its gonna be emotional if that really happens.

We met our driver at Senai Airport again and he drive normally this time round. We get ti feel the new immigration at Johore Bahru since it start operating on 16th Dec at midnite. It is NICE!!...NICER than Singapore Woodlands Checkpoint. I just hope they maintained they way it is.

And i get to know that our driver is actually a racer. He can drive his van to melacca in 1hr 45mins...sound impossible...he did it...running at 180km/h throughout the journey because it was an emergency situation. He even had many accidents and we really got scared. But was relieved when we are about to reached our home sweet home.
